Miss Radcliffe Meets......Edi

Miss R: So.. you're a singer, songwriter, producer and you play multiple instruments...Tell me more about your background and how you got into music.

Well, I just happen to blessed enough to have come from a musical family and have been brought up in a creatively charged environment - My mother is an amazing vocalist, my father has traveled the world doing music with some world renowned artists. Even my aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, and cousins are musical! Having that around growing up gave me the liberty to create freely as well as learn from some extremely talented people that care.

Miss R: Tell me about your band. How did you all meet?

Haha well, there's an interesting answer to that question. Every day, I'm working to officially build on it. As of right now, I've have some very talented musicians and singers with me from all over the place, who are also heavily involved in their own artistry as well.
When I chose the name "the e/X Collective", I specifically chose it because there are so many people involved in this band it would only make sense for it to be called a "Collective". It's kind of cool because everyone brings their own vibe and their own interpretation of the music to the table. No two shows are ever exactly the same.

Miss R: Who are your main inspirations?
Growing up, I listened to a lot of Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Kim Burrell, Earth Wind & Fire and my father. As I've come more into myself, I've been drawing inspiration from everywhere. From some of my talented friends to specific works by artists, movies, ringtones... Even patterns in the wind.
I'll take the small things and put it together to make a unique kind of gumbo for the world to consume through music.

Miss R: Your work ethic is undeniable..
I see all your videos on social media. You're either in rehearsal or performing at gigs.
Where do you want your music to take you in 2017? What are your goals?

I want to take on the world! Haha seriously, in 2017, I'd love to see my music making such an impact internationally that I have no choice but to book something in each of those cities..Even yours!
My whole mission is to spread the message of love, life, happiness, and the pursuit thereof through the universal language of music. That being said, the plan is to release my first "official" project, travel the world with my music, and to continue to grow as an artist and a person.

Miss R: I love the vibes from
'The UnMastered Collection' I've been playing 'Nobody' ft Jada Camille on loop!
Do you have a special song from that project?

Oh wow, thank you so much! Fun fact: that entire project was released due to an accident! I had my hard drive full of music (about 2 albums worth at least) at an event and someone stole it! I was pretty much faced with the choice to either re-record everything from scratch or release those unmastered remains that I had scattered online to the world on SoundCloud. But to answer your question, every song on there has some piece of me in it so I can't really say that any one song hits me more than any of the others do.

Miss R: What are you working on at the moment?

I'm working on finishing my upcoming project, "LOVE: the eXperience". I'm so excited because it'll be the first legitimate solo project I've ever released! There's so much work that I've put into it, from the writing, producing, performance, and even the mixing. I feel like people will really be able to feel the essence of me and get to know a bit more of who I am in this project.

Miss R: Are there any artist/producers you would you like to collaborate with?

Yes! I've got my little list set off in a corner too haha. From the list, though, I'd especially have to say BJ The Chicago Kid, Anderson .Paak, Chance The Rapper, Childish Gambino, Musiq Soulchild, Miguel, Timbaland, etc. I feel like anything I do with any of them would be absolutely amazing.

Miss R: Outside of music, what other interest do you have?

Acting. When I was younger, my parents would sit me down at the dinner table and do improv with me. Haha I mean they'd literally sit me down, give me a scenario and a mood and tell me to act it out and expand on the story. Having that around gave me this passion and this itch that I want to fill one of these days.

Miss R: Any final words.....

To everyone reading this, remember to love life and no matter what things may look like, always remember that over the horizon, #GreaterisComing.
